A spirited and fun loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother died, at age 97, on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge following a brief illness. She will be missed by her family and many loved ones. She was a native of Opelousas and a resident of Baton Rouge. Survived by her son Donald and wife Carol Roppolo Thibodeaux two granddaughters Michelle Adams and husband Robert, Renee Brian and husband Kevin six great grandchildren Meredith, Danielle and Claire Adams and Bradley, Victoria and Patrick Brian all of Baton Rouge, one brother, Eugene Devillier of Groves, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Abner Sam Thibodeaux father and mother Morris, Sr. and Aline Wyble Devillier three sisters, Elmire Dufilho, Rita Ardoin and Aline Robin nine brothers, Golman, Sylvian, Joseph, Wilkens, Leo, Earl, Morris, Jr., Charles Edmond, and Harold Devillier. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas at 2:00 p.m. The burial will be at Bellevue Memorial Park. The Reverend Monsignor Keith DeRouen will be the celebrant.
