Ella Cormier

Opelousas - Funeral services for for Ella Lea Luneau Cormier will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas.  Reverend Benny Reppond will conduct the services.

Mrs. Cormier, age 74, a resident of Palmetto, La., passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 29, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Ella was a proud veteran and served five years in the United States Navy.  She loved being outdoors, gardening and fishing.  She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, a good cup of coffee, shopping and her cats.  Ella was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni Marie Walling Limoges and husband, Joseph "Joey" Limoges of Ville Platte, La.; her brothers, Marvin Wayne Luneau of Big Bend, La., Harvey Menard Luneau of Palmetto, La., Andrew Luneau of Port Barre, La.; her sisters, Doris Elaine Chanov of Palmetto, La., Theresa Ann Luneau of Palmetto, La. and Katherine "Kitty" Louise Lessard of Addis, La.  She is also survived by two grandchildren, Amy Lee Chapman of Ville Platte, La. and Jessica Marie Walling of Ville Platte, La., two step-grandchildren, Kimberlyn Nicole Johnson of Pine Prairie, La. and Korey Joseph Limoges of Ville Platte, La.; three great-grandchildren, Lennie Pearl Chapman, Lola Ryan Chapman and Theodore "Teddi" Banks Chapman and two step-great-grandchildren, Jett Alexander Johnson and Britton Kate Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Carl Luneau, Sr. and Doralea Dupre Luneau and her brother, Robert Carl Luneau, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday morning from 8:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m.
