Elizabeth "Beth" Marks

Opelousas – Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth “Beth” Mills Marks will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas.  The Very Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen will conduct the service.  Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until time 12:30 p.m. at which time a Rosary will be recited in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Elizabeth “Beth” Mills Marks, age 59, on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

She enjoyed sports and loved playing softball and basketball when she had time.  She was a huge LSU Tigers football and baseball fan.  She enjoyed camping, was an animal lover, loved working in her garden and liked having fun.  Most of all, Beth enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Beth was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James Keith Marks; her father Mickey Mills; her daughter, Jessica Marks and fiancé, Collin Weaver; her twin brother, Bill Mills and wife, Andrea, Mike Mills and Timmy Mills; her sisters, Thea Hollie, Melanie Bellard and husband, Ted and Yvette Meche and husband, Glenn; and Paula Martinez Mills.  She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Lennon Weaver, Jackson Weaver and Rose Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jackie Fontenot Mills, and her maternal grandparents, Mayo and Viola (Sonnier) Fontenot and paternal grandparents, Theogene and Lena (Daigle) Mills.

Pallbearers will be Beau Hollie, Jonathan Mills, Collin Weaver, Mike Mills, Timmy Mills and Bill Mills.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Mills, Dylan Hollie, William Mills, Matthew Mills and Seth Brinkman.
