Elie "Butch" Boudreaux

Melville - Funeral services for Elie “Butch” Boudreaux will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville. Reverend Benny Reppond will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery in Melville.

Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elie “Butch” Boudreaux, age 80, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Opelousas, La.

Butch was a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.  He retired as Master Sergeant after 21 years of service.  After his military career, Butch worked and retired from the Louisiana Department of Corrections as a Lieutenant.  Butch was an outstanding gentleman, who was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his companion, Linda Brown; his daughter, Jennifer Kolise and husband, Pelema Kolise, Jr.; his granddaughter, Kylie Kolise and his four-legged companions, Buster Brown and Heidi Girl.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cleophas Boudreaux and Mary Melaide Ledoux; his wife, Rebecca Boudreaux and his siblings, David Boudreaux, Edna Soileau, Alcide Boudreaux, Joseph “J.C.” Boudreaux, Elise LeJeune, Mayrease Fletcher, Clibert Boudreaux, Rose Delcambre, J.B. Boudreaux, J.V. Boudreaux, Paul Boudreaux, Luke Boudreaux, Wesley Boudreaux and Lesley Boudreaux.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Warrior Dog Foundation, K9’s for Veterans or a charity of your choice in Butch’s name.
