Elias Bordelon

Opelousas Funeral services will be held for Elias J. Bud Bordelon, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2013, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Parlor in Opelousas, LA. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA. The Reverend Stephen Fife, pastor of the Louisiana Memorial United Methodist Church will conduct the service.

Mr. Bordelon, age 77, went on to claim his eternal rest on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at his home in Washington, La. surrounded by his beloved family members.

Mr. Bordelon was a member of the Louisiana Memorial United Methodist Church of Opelousas and served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Bordelon is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lou Dean O. Bordelon his four daughters, Lisa Bordelon Parker of Lafayette, LA Linda Gail Bordelon Richard and husband, Layne, of Mire, La. Sandy Kay Bordelon Mann and husband, David, of Lafayette, LA Michelle Renee Bordelon Nepveaux and husband, Chad, of Lafayette, LA and two sisters, Etta Bryant and Jeanette Bailey. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Brandon Shane Ortego, Candice Paige Pitre Meche, Chandler ONeil Warren, Alexa Morgan Nepveaux, Courtney Renee Warren, Taylor Elizabeth Mann, Jenya Joseph Mann, David Mikhail Misha Mann, Hayes Chadwick Nepveaux and three greatgrandchildren, Travis Neal Meche, Barrett Shane Ortego and Brylee Paige Ortego.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Odette Bordelon, eight brothers and five sisters.

Visiting hours will begin on Saturday, August 10, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be David Mann, Chad Nepveaux, Layne Richard, Chandler Warren, Brandon Ortego and Jenya Mann.

The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice for the care that was shown to Mr. Bordelon and especially their loving neighbors, Phillip and Donna Dardeau.
