Eldine Credeur

A Mass of Christian Burial for Eldine Elizabeth Richard Credeur will be held on Tuesday September 20, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. The interment will follow in the St. Bridget Mausoleum. Fr. Austin Leger will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Credeur, age 93 a resident of Opelousas, died Sunday at Acadiana St. Landry Guesthouse in Church Point. She was a retired sales clerk with Howard Brothers and was a past parishioner at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell and a parishioner of Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas and belonged to a local Rosary Group.

Survivors include her son Horace Jagneaux and wife Merrie of Opelousas, daughters Agnes St. Amand of Broussard and Lois Vige and husband Stanley of Lafayette, sisters Eula Janice of Lecompte, Rena Saurage of Opelousas and Irene Springer of Texas City, 14 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Conrad Jagneaux and Percy Credeur, parents Olan Richard and Lois Andrepont Richard and a son Larry Jagneaux.

The family has requested visitation be held on Monday September 19, 2011 from 3:00pm until 9:00pm and will reopen on Tuesday September 20, 2011 at 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:00pm
