Edwina Cortez

Funeral services for Edwina J. Cortez will be held Monday January 28, 2008 at 3:00pm at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. The interment will take place at the St. Bridget Mausoleum. Fr. Daniel Picard will conduct the services.

Mrs. Cortez, age 88 died Friday January 25, 2008 at 12:30am at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.

Survivors include her son; Richard Cortez of Baton Rouge and 1 granddaughter; Jessica Lee Cortez of New York, New York.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Armand and Tea Prejean Joubert, husband; Edwin Cortez and a brother; L.G. Joubert.

Visitation will be Sunday January 27, 2008 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm and will reopen on Monday from 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 6:30pm.
