Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Brown will be held on Tuesday, March 6th at 1:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs with interment at the church cemetery. The Rev. Chad Balfa will conduct the services.

Mrs. Brown, age 93, a resident of Krotz Springs, died at Maison DeVille Nursing Home, March 4th, 2007.

She was the oldest member of the 1st Baptist Church in Krotz Springs, La. She was an avid member of the quilting society, was a seamstress and was also employed by Standard Coffee for many years.

She is survived by a brother; Eli Muse, a sister; Virgie Walters, 2 daughters; Betty B. Artigue and Lillian Muse, a son; Bobby Muse and his wife Sandra; 6 grandchildren; Keith Poncho Artigue and his wife Sharon,Kristy Artigue Boudreaux and her husband Gerald, Karl Ray Artigue and his wife Julie, Jimmy Muse and his wife Myra, Niki Baddon and her husband Darron and Carl Joe Casse. 15 Great-grandchildren; Crystal Artigue and her fiance Leo Bubba Duplechain, Patrick Artigue, Jeff Dixon, Tiffany Dixon, Daniel Artigue, Chad, Jessica, Frankie, Brad Boudreaux and his wife Amber, Kaleb, Kelsie, Kolby Artigue, Heather Baddon, Alissa and Parker Muse, 8 Great-great-grandchildren; Sage and Sydni Duplechain, Cori Stoute, Gabriel LeBlanc, Maddox Artigue, Kaylee and Hayden Boudreaux and Braelynn Boutte and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Brown; 3 brothers; W.P., Preston and Eli Muse. 4 sisters; Arcola Thornton, Alice Muse, Avis May and Lilly May, her parents; Lillian Morris Muse, 2 great-grandchildren; Kimberlyn and Andrielle Artigue,a son-in-law; Harry Artigue.

The family requests that visitation be observed Monday, March 5, 2007 from 12:00noon until 10:00PM at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00AM till time of services.
