Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Eddie J. Morris, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. LA. Rite of Committal will follow in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Reverend Gary Schexnayder will be the Celebrant.

Mr. Morris, age 75, died on September 22, 2013 at his residence.
Eddie retired from Cash Drugs in Opelousas, LA after 28 years. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Shirley Morris, of Little Teche, LA his mother, Effie Lalonde Morris, of Little Teche, LA his daughter, Connie Ardoin, and husband, David, of Scott, LA his brother, Charles Morris and wife, Ruby, of Opelousas, LA his sisters, Madeline Lazaro, of Opelousas, LA and Betty Watts and husband, Danny, of Natchez, Mississippi. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Brandon Ardoin and Alex Ardoin of Scott, LA.

He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Morris, Jr. his daughter, Brenda Lee Morris and his brothers, Jack Morris and Gary Morris.

Visiting hours will begin on Monday, September 23, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Pallbearers will be David Ardoin, Brandon Ardoin, Alex Ardoin, Mark Morris, Charles Morris and Kenneth Morris and honorary pallbearer will be, Greg Morris.
