Krotz Springs - Funeral services will be held for Eddie Ellis at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. Brother Chad Bolfa will conduct the funeral service. Burial will be held at the First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Ellis, age 65 and a resident of Krotz Springs, LA, died on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at his residence.

Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing and cooking for his family and friends. Eddie will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jeannette Kartchner Ellis; his son, Shawn Ellis; his daughter, Angel Ellis Guillory and husband, Wayne; his brothers, Robert "Uncle Joe" Ellis; Mike Ellis and wife, April; his sisters, Norma Credeur; Liz Huffman and husband, Donnie; Debra Evans and husband, Jimmy; Susie Ellis and Shirley Dupont and husband, Ronald. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Matthew and wife, Alicia; Jarred and wife, Amber; Joseph; Lacey; Lauren; Lexie; 3 great-grandchildren and his special family, Tyler, Lani, Blaise, Sally and Marcy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Ellis and Ethel Dupuis Ellis and his son, Eddie "Shayne" Ellis.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service.

His wishes for pallbearers were Matthew Breaux, Jarred Breaux, Bobby St. Romain, Chad Nall, Warren Synder, Chris Huffman and honorary pallbearers will be Angel Ellis Guillory, Willie Kartchner, David Huckaby, Mitch Devillier and Ray Ellis.
