Edaise Davis

Krotz Springs Funeral Services will be held for Edaise H. Davis at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013, in the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs, LA. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Chad Bolfa will conduct the service.

Mrs. Davis, age 91, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Krotz Springs, died at 2:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013, at her daughters residence in Baton Rouge, LA.

Edaise was an aide for the Council on Aging and enjoyed working with the elderly. She also was a wonderful seamstress. She will be greatly missed, but will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends and all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Charles Davis and wife, Alice, of Prairieville, LA her daughters, Frances Brannon of Gonzales, LA Iris Freeman and husband, Walter, of Baton Rouge, LA and her sisters, Roberta Ruiz of Charlotte, North Carolina and Willa Mae Scales of Lafayette, LA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Nicholas Freeman, Carol Dupre, Brad Davis, Paul Davis, Diana Davis, Danny Davis, Adam Davis and eight greatgrandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Davis her parents, Adam and Bernadette Courville Hebert her son, Daniel George Davis and her sisters, Hazel Babineaux, Mercedes Going, Irene Dohmann and Melba Doucet.

Visiting hours will begin on Sunday, May 26, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will resume on Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
