Earline Courville

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Earline Courville, age 63, at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas. Reverend Austin Leger will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. by Deacon Tom Lindsey.

Mrs. Courville, a resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Senior Village Nursing Home.

Earline was an administrator at the University Medical Center for many years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and also enjoyed camping, traveling, dancing and visiting at family gatherings. Earline will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Fredrick A. Courville; her son, Kenneth Stoute and wife, Melissa; her daughters, Amy Myers and husband, Russell; Rachel Landry and husband, B.J.; Jennifer Pitre and husband, Kenneth; Jamie Prudhomme and fiancé, Joseph Shane Lyons; her brothers, Merrick Leger and wife, Jeanelle; Elvin Leger and wife, Emma Jean; Warren Leger and wife, Dorothy; Darius Leger, Jr. and wife, Virginia and her sister, Marie Chautin. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Abbie Castille, Jared Stoute, Cierra Stoute, Bethany Stoute, Kayla Myers, Ainsley Myers, Christian Myers, Megan Landry, B.J. Landry, Sarah Prudhomme, Bailey Prudhomme, Aiden Pitre and 1 great-grandchild, Jackson Fontenot.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darius and Lucille Stelly Leger; her sister, Geraldine Moreau; her brother, Russell Leger; her grandchildren, Gabriel Prudhomme, "Infant" Myers and "Infant" Stoute.
