Earlie Savoy

Service for Earlie Ray Savoy, age 65, will be held on Sunday April 19, 2009, at 1:30pm in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Father Austin Leger will conduct the services.

Mr. Savoy, a resident of Plaisance, La., died on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. Savoy was employed by Nobel Drilling for 27 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dotsy Savoy of Plaisance; his son, Mickey Savoie and his wife, Annette, of Opelousas, La. and three grandchildren: Adam Savoie, Malorie Savoie and Lane Courvelle, brother Floyd Savoy of Opelousas and a sister Shirley Dupre and husband Lionel of Plaisance.

Mr. Savoy was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Marie Castille Savoy.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday April 18, 2009 from 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. and will re-open on Sunday at 8:00am. until time of services. A rosary service will be recited at 6:00p.m. on Saturday evening.
