Earl Guidroz

Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held for Earl "Bud" Guidroz, age 83, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015, in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Deacon Bill Pollingue will conduct the services.

Mr. Bud, age 83, a native of Opelousas and a resident of Gretna, LA, passed away on November 20, 2015, at Bayside Nursing Home in Gretna, LA.
Bud was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. In his retirement years he enjoyed framing posters and listening to Blue Grass music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Earl Guidroz, Jr. and wife, Mary, Glenn Guidroz, Sr. and wife, Loretta; his daughters, Dawn Guidroz Rivere and husband, Risley; his grandchildren, Dustin, Leslie, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Glenn, Jr., Katherine, Risley, Jr., Ryan and Russell. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, one sister and two brothers, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonce Guidroz, Sr. and Bertha Guidroz; his daughter, Paulette Guidroz and six siblings.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday by Deacon Bill Pollingue.
