Earl Godchaux, Jr.

Funeral services for Earl Emile Godchaux, Jr. will be held on Monday October 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm. in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. Fr. Jim Brady will conduct the services. The interment will be in the Bellevue Memorial Park.

Mr. Godchaux, age 78 a resident of Opelousas died Saturday October 2, 2010 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home. He served his country as a United States Marine, during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife Patsy Godchaux of Opelousas, sons Robert Godchaux of Opelousas, Cody Godchaux of Opelousas and Richard Godchaux of New Orleans, daughter Cathy Godchaux French of Ball, La, brothers Joe Fred Godchaux and wife Yvonne of Port Barre and Jimmy Godchaux and wife Kathy of Lafayette, 2 grandchildren Holly Godchaux Carriere and Scott Godchaux and 3 great grandchildren Tristan Carriere, Hadden Carriere and Gage Carriere.

Preceding him in death was his parents Earl E. Godchaux, Sr. and Flora Trosclair Godchaux.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 4, 2010 from 10:00 am until time of services at 2:00 pm. A rosary will be recited also on Monday at 1:30 pm.
