Earl Armand

Funeral services for Mr. Earl E. Armand, age 83, will be held on Saturday, November 26 at 10:00 a.m. in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. The Reverend James Brady will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Armand passed away at 3:10 a.m. on November 24, 2011 at Acadiana Hospital in Eunice. He was born on October 17, 1928 in Chataignier, LA to the late Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Armand.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Bonita Ortego Armand sons, Randy Armand and wife Julie, Dale Armand and wife Cathy, Stacey Armand, Kelly Armand and wife Kilie, Malachy Armand, Clay Armand and wife Becky sister, Heartice Rozas and husband Shorty 15 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.

Mr. Armand was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Larry Luke Armand.

Earl was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He retired after 30 years of service to MissouriPacific Railroad.

The family would like to give a special word of appreciation to the staff at Prompt Succor Nursing Home for all the love and care they provided.

Visiting hours will be observed at LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
