Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Duvvy Jagneaux at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2015, in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA. Rite of Committal will follow at the St. Bridget Church Mausoleum in Lawtell, LA. Reverend Gregory Simien will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Jagneaux, age 79, a resident of Lawtell, LA, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville, LA.

Duvvy was a loving mom, grandmother, and mother-in-law who will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Meche, of Bryant, AR; Sandra Castille of Lawtell, LA; Cindy Jagneaux of Lawtell, LA; her son, Kenneth Jagneaux and wife, Valerie, of Grand Coteau, LA; her sister, Grace Miller; her brother, Wayne Trahan; 6 granddaughters, 9 step-grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Berchman Jagneaux; her parents, Hazel and Ovey Trahan; her brothers, Steven Trahan, Ohern Trahan; her granddaughter, Renee Castille and her son-in-law, Joel Castille.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed on Wednesday (time pending).
