Doris Goudeau

A Mass of Christian Burial for Doris Baque Goudeau will be held on Monday November 26, 2012 at 10:00am at the St. Landry Catholic Church. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park. Fr. William Curtis Mallet will be the celebrant.

Mrs. Goudeau, age 92, a resident of Opelousas, died on Thursday November 22, 2012 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas. She was a retired manager from Lafleurs Fashion, Village Armoire, Ltd. Editions and Village Boutique.

She is survived by her son, Charles Chuck Goudeau and his wife Barbara, granddaughter, Shelly Dupre and husband Greg, grandson, Jamie Goudeau, 2 great granddaughters, Mackenzie and Addyson Dupre and 2 great grandsons, Zachary and Jonathon Goudeau, brothers, Billy Baque and his wife Bettie and Harold Baque and his wife Gerri.

Preceding her in death was her husband, W.W. Bill Goudeau, parents, Joseph Baque, Sr., and Anna Dupuis, brothers, Joseph Baque, Jr. and Charles Baque and her sisters, Adele Guilbeau and Verna Carron.

The family has requested visitation be held on Sunday November 25, 2012 from10:00am until 9:00pm and will reopen on Monday at 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 6:00pm.

Pallbearers will be Billy Baque, Harold Baque, Chuck Goudeau, Jamie Goudeau, Greg Dupre and Mike Baque. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Roy and Jonathon Goudeau.

The family would like to give special thanks to Prompt Succor Nursing Home and staff and to Hospice of Compassus and staff.
