Funeral services for Donnie Jo Ferguson Fransen will be held on Monday February 20, 2012 at 1:00 pm at LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA. Bro. Perry Hubbs will conduct the services. Graveside services will be Tuesday February 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Tatum Cemetery in Tatum, TX.

Mrs. Fransen, age 83, a resident of Opelousas died Saturday February 18, 2012 at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Opelousas.

Survivors include her sons Gary Fransen and wife Dolli of Houston, TX and Steve Fransen and wife Fran of St. Gabriel, LA, 7 grandchildren Nathan Fransen, Nick Fransen and wife Eva, Ryan Fransen and wife Rozlan, Beau Fransen and Amy Fransen, Chris Brock and wife Ann and Travis Brock and fianc Corinne and 3 great grandchildren Jaxon Fransen, Victoria Brock and John Brock.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Fransen, parents Joe and Judy Turlington Ferguson, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

The family has requested visitation be held on Sunday February 19, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday from 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm.
