Donald Hebert, Sr.

Port Barre A private memorial service was held for Donald Ray Hebert, Sr., age 77, on Wednesday, February 22, 2012.

Mr. Hebert, a resident of Port Barre, La., died on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Opelousas General Health System.

Donald taught band at AIC and also Port Barre High School. He was a member of the Opelousas Community Choir and St. Landry Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his sons, Donald Hebert, Jr. and wife, Deena, of Opelousas, La. Benajhar Hebert and wife, Lorna, of Pasadena, Texas his daughters, Martha Smith and husband, Gary, of Krotz Springs, La. Michelle Halphen and husband, Steven, of Krotz Springs, La. and his sister, Cheryl Suzanne Boudreaux of Port Barre, La. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Peck Hebert and his parents, Amason and Marie Hebert 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
