Dolores Garrie

Opelousas - A memorial service will be held for Dolores Chase Garrie, age 68, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA with visitation will beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Rob Miller, from the First Lutheran Church of Lafayette, will conduct the memorial service.

Dolores, formerly of California and a resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at St. Landry Extended Care.

Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew and loved her. She loved her family very much. She enjoyed jewelry making, crocheting blankets, collecting Indian dolls, fairies and butterflies.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Shirley Chase; her children, Donna (Weldon) Lambert, Edwin Costello, Mary Handing, Kevin (Christy) Coffey; her significant other, Joe J. Joubert; her brothers, John, Robert, and Glen Chase; her step-children, Sarah (Matthew) Sneed, William (Jessie) Joubert, Scott (Nerissa) Joubert, Zack Joubert; her grandchildren, Phillip (Ashley) Coffey, Donald Coffey, Nicholas (Brandy) Costello, Caleb (Tina) Costello, Logan Costello, Natalie Costello, Amber Coffey, David Coffey, Harlie Coffey, Jedi Coffey; her great-grandchildren, Donald Coffey, Jr., Kaylynn Riegel, Layla Costello, Nicholas Costello, Jr., Kali Brown, Alli Brown, Tayton Costello, Bayleigh Costello, Averi Trahan, Joslynn Coffey, Nicholas Coffey, Ruby Coffey, Luanne Coffey and her step-grandchildren, Aedan and Anna Sneed, Haylynn and Austin Joubert, Mason Joubert and Autumn Joubert.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Chase, her son-in-law, James J.J. Handing and her great-granddaughter, Sadie Coffey.
