Denise Stanford

Opelousas - A funeral service will be held for Denise Marie Stanford, age 40, at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and a rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the memorial service.

Denise, a resident of Opelousas, LA and native of New Orleans, LA, died on Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Opelousas, LA.

Denise worked with the St. Landry Parish School Board for several years as a special education substitute teacher. She especially loved all children and enjoyed babysitting. She will be remembered as a sweet, kind and quiet person. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her father, William Stanford; her children, Jacob, Landon, Elyssia; her brother, William Stanford, Jr. and her companion, Keith Zerangue. She is also survived by her nieces, Justice, Patience and Alyelah.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ramona Stanford; her maternal and paternal grandparents and a host of aunts and uncles.
