Deboraha "Debbie" Bourgeois Moran

Krotz Springs - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019, for Deboraha "Debbie" Bourgeois Moran at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Krotz Springs. Father Michael DeBlanc will officiate the services. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Moran, age 62, was a resident of Kaplan and had previously resided in Krotz Springs.  She passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019, at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.

She was a devout Catholic and a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kaplan.  She was a member of the Rosary Group and the Metanoia Choir Group.  Her pastimes include crocheting, painting, and cake decorating.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Ricky Moran, Jr. of Kaplan; two sons, Christopher Paul Moran and wife, Katherine; and Anthony James Moran and wife, Alexandra; two daughters, Faith Suzanne Rathke and husband, Jerry Rathke, II; and Crystal Kirk; brother, Randy Bourgeois; sister, Penny Bourgeois; and 13 grandchildren: Kylie Moran, Christian Moran, Kaitlyn Moran, Erin Moran, Lauren Moran, Emma Kirk, Mollie Kirk, Wyatt Moran, Hazel Moran, Esther Mae Moran, Jordan Poole, Nicholas Rathke, and Justin Rathke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon Bourgeois and Viola Sonnier Bourgeois; and her brother, Scot Bourgeois.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Moran, Christopher Moran, Randy Bourgeois, Jordan Leger, Craig Moran, and Christian Moran.  Honorary pallbearer will be Wyatt-man Moran.
