Deborah Culbertson

Opelousas, LA - Funeral services will be held for Deborah "Debbie" Dejean Culbertson at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Sammy Diesi, will conduct the funeral service. Interment will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Debbie Culbertson, age 64, a native and resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Heritage Manor.

Debbie worked as a secretary for Benhard Warehouses and later for LHC. Her favorite pastime was dancing. She also enjoyed swimming and working out at the health club. She loved her cats and good food. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by the love of her life, Noel Mitchell; her son, Chad Edwards Culbertson of Breaux Bridge, LA; her grandson, Tyler Chad Culbertson of Breaux Bridge, LA; her granddaughter, Juliana Faith Culbertson of Opelousas, LA; her nephews, Ryan and Delaney Dejean. She is also survived by her special friends Shelly, Linda, Melinda, Veronica and Peggy.

She was preceded in death by her parents Reginald Ryan "Tecus" Dejean, Sr. and Jeannette Savoie Dejean; her brother, Reginald Ryan Dejean, Jr. and her sister Cheryl Louise Dejean.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, July 2, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Friday at 8:00 until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. by Deacon Sammy Diesi.
