Dearalee Devillier

Leonville A Mass of Christian Burial for Dearalee Teda Savoie Devillier, age 70, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, in the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, La., followed by interment in the church cemetery. The Reverend Ken Domingue will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.

Mrs. Devillier, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 8:40 a.m. at Opelousas General Health System following a lengthy illness.

Dearalee was a housewife and also, helped out at Dorothy Meche Antiques in Leonville. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Edward TBoy Devillier, of Opelousas, La. her sons, Joseph Evans Pepper Devillier and companion, Eva Welsh, of Opelousas, La. Brandon James Devillier and wife, Courtney, of Opelousas, La. her daughter, Janell Darby and husband, Mitchell, of Arnaudville, La. her four brothers, J.Y. Savoie of Brookhaven, Mississippi Curtis Savoie of Breaux Bridge, La. Ophie Savoie of Arnaudville, La. Floyd Savoie of Henderson, La. her seven sisters, Edna Lagrange of Breaux Bridge, La. Rose Stelly of Cecilia, La. Joyce Bernard of Arnaudville, La. Delores Daigle of Lake Charles, La. Maudry Devillier of Opelousas, La. Enola Knott of Cecilia, La. and Betty Boudreaux of Henderson, La. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Alvin Blue Devillier her parents, Ovie Charles Savoie and Evelyn Richard Savoie and her sister, Norma Savoie.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Monday, May 14, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
