Davina Chapman

Krotz Springs Funeral services for Davina Ann Chapman, age 32, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2009 in the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs, La. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, in the Concord Cemetery in Oak Grove, La. Pastor Chad Bolfa will conduct the services.

Davina was a 1994 graduate of Port Barre High School. She attended LSU of Eunice. Davina was employed at LA One Call for 12 years as the administrative clerk. Davina loved gardening, swimming and motorcycles but her real passion were her dogs. Davinas smile was her trademark.

She is survived by her mother, Dolores Sanders of Krotz Springs, La.; her father, David Chapman of Rotan, Texas; her brother, Jarrett Sanders of Krotz Springs, La.; her paternal grandmother, Sandy Chapman of Rotan Texas; her maternal grandmother, Helen June Sanders of Krotz Springs, La. and her beloved dogs, Angus, Cooper and Max. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John A. Sanders; her paternal grandfather, Carl D. Chapman and her paternal great-grandparents, Troy and Lamerle Denton.

Pallbearers will be Steven Dupree, Brandon Dupree, Josh Sanders, Jeremy Ratcliff, Greg Ratcliff and Justin Hill.

Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
