David Nolan, Sr.

Krotz Springs A Mass of Christian Burial for David Dave Shea Nolan, Sr., age 70, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, in the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Krotz Springs, La., followed by interment in the church cemetery. Father Bob Courville and Father Chanh Van Nguyen will conduct the mass.

Mr. Nolan, who was a resident of Krotz Springs, La., died on Sunday, July 17, 2011, at UMC in Lafayette, La.
Dave retired after 30 years as a construction supervisor. He was a true Louisiana sportsman and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a loving father, husband, brother, uncle and friend. He also loved his dogs, Shea, Lee, Bailey and Bruce. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Lejeune Nolan of Krotz Springs, La. his son, Harry Charles Nolan, II and wife, Bernadette, of Krotz Springs, La. his daughter, Valerie Lynn Nolan and partner, Chelsie LaGrange, of Opelousas, La. his sisters, Annie Laurie Shadowens of Deberry, Texas Betty Jean Hackler and husband, Dee, of Sterlington, La. Carol Artall and husband, Jasper, of Melville, La. and his sisterinlaw and nephew, Zula LeJeune and Hayden LeJeune. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Cassie Nolan, Sandi Nolan, Jacob Nolan, Jasmine Elizabeth, Joshua Ryan, Lauren Parish and Bailey Castille and 4 greatgrandchildren, Cort Michael Nolan, Mayah Claire Nolan, Tristin Barker and Kaden Barker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Charles Nolan and Marcelene Nolan Teer his brothers, Buddy Nolan, Henry Nolan, Lem Nolan, Ike Nolan, Henry Clay Nolan his brotherinlaw, Jack Shadowens and his motherinlaw and fatherinlaw, Norman and Mary LeJeune.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs, beginning on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. all night until service time on Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
