David Comeau

Opelousas - Funeral services for David Patrick Comeau, 30, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel of Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

David was a native of Lafayette, grew up in Opelousas, and was currently residing in Memphis, TN. He died on Friday, December 14, 2018. David was a talented artist who drew and painted portraits and figures of individuals. He studied Political Science and Fine Arts at Loyola University in New Orleans, LSU in Alexandria, and Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.

He was a U. S. Army Veteran who served his country with the Louisiana Army National Guard with the 256th Infantry Brigade and served active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Eileen Redmond Comeau; three brothers: Moses Ray Comeau and wife, Amy; Alfred Joseph Comeau and wife, Elsie; and Steven Chris Comeau and wife, Tara; two sisters, Katie Cobb and wife, Amy; and Abigail Marie Kiley Comeau and husband, Nicholas J. Clesi; and a host of nieces and nephews, Madison, Victoria, D.J., Paul, Devin, Kadin, Jordynne, Karis, Grace, Gregory, Garrett, Gwynn and Gavin.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ray Comeau, Jr. and his grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.
