Dave Terrell, Jr.

Melville A Mass of Christian Burial for Dave Terrell, Jr., age 82, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012, in the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Melville, La., followed by interment in the church cemetery. The Reverend James Nguyen will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.

Mr. Terrell, a resident of Melville, La., died on Monday, March 5, 2012 at his residence.

Dave loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Priscilla Sylvester Terrell of Melville, La. his sons, Charles E. Terrell of Melville, La. Dave Terrell, III and wife, Lisa, of Melville, La. his daughters, Ella Guidry and husband, Jimmy, of Krotz Springs, La. Paula Louise Terrell of Houston, Texas and Elizabeth Nichols and husband, Mark, of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave Terrell, Sr. and Ella Soileau Terrell his grandchildren, Webster Reed, Jonathan Reed and Mark Nichols his uncle, H.F. Darnall and his aunt, Lottie Soileau Darnall.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Melville, beginning on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
