Darlene Richard

A memorial gathering and service for Darlene Rivet Richard will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. The Reverend Lester May will conduct the service.
Mrs. Richard, age 59, who was a resident of Sunset, LA and a native of New Orleans, died at her residence on Thursday, July 11, 2013.
Darlene and her husband Bruce loved to play pool and Darlene was quite the player. Her walls are adorned with the plaques and awards of her efforts. She had a green thumb and enjoyed growing beautiful ivys for her home. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, which included her four legged friends, Suzie and Ity Bitty.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce Richard of Sunset her sons, Robbie Schwab and fiance Crystal Ledet of Larose, LA and Mike Schwab and his fiance, Lori Warm of Osyka, Miss seven grandchildren, Dillon, Caleb, Jacob, Casie, Emily, Dayton and Maizy Schwab.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Rose Richard Rivet.
