Daphne Buller Simoneaux, age 82 and a resident of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018.
Daphne was a nurse for over 45 years. She began her training at Charity Hospital in Lafayette. She worked at Our Lady of the Sea Hospital in Galliano, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, and Women's and Children's Hospital In Lafayette. She was a pediatric nurse for Dr. John Daigre, Dr. Bryan Sibley and Dr. Jude Bares.
Daphne was a positive, happy person who truly loved people. She always tried to find the bright side of things, and her enthusiasm was contagious. She loved her family and friends. Daphne always tried to make special occasions memorable. She never missed anyone's birthday, and kept in touch with her family and friends through the years; she went out of her way to stay in touch with those she loved.
Daphne lived an authentic life. She honestly loved her fellow man, with a beautiful, servant heart. It was her joy to give. If you were one of the lucky ones to have been blessed by her sunshine, she would have just one wish-pass it on!
