Dalvest Dupre

Opelousas A service will be held for Dalvest James Dupre, age 77, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, La, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Jerry Long will conduct the funeral services.

Mr. Dupre, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at 7:35 p.m. at his residence.

He was a member of the Opelousas Bible Church, pastored by Reverend Dave Beverly. Mr. Dupre served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Lena Mae Dupre, of Opelousas, La. his sons, Gary Paul Dupre and wife, Wendy, of Sunset, La. Greg Everett Dupre and wife, Shelly, of Opelousas, La. his daughters, Donna Dupre Denis and husband, Frank Lilo, of Orlando, Florida Debbie Dupre Fontenot and husband, Doyle, of Opelousas, La. Darlene Dupre Fontenot and husband, Robbie, of Opelousas, La. and his brother, Ronald Dupre of Washington, La. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Lyndsey and Brandon Denis Krystal Lanclos, Katie Breaux, Ashley, Rob and Alex Fontenot Skyla, Garrett and Owen Scott Dupre Mackenzie and Addyson Dupre 4 greatgrandchildren, Shai and Jzulianna Fontenot Neudigate Olivia Lanclos and Kaleb Breaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Hillary Dupre and his brother, John Allen Dupre.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Friday, July 27, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until service time.
