Dallas Labbe

Funeral services will be held for Mr. Dallas Labbe, age 93, at St. John Chapel in Lewisberg, La. at

2 PM, Wednesday 24, 2007. Mr. Labbe died at 11:30 AM Monday, January 22, 2007 in the Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home in Carencro, La. Burial will fellow in the St John Cemetery.

Fr. Donavan Labbe, a grandson, will officiate at the Funeral Mass.

Mr. Labbe is survived by five sons, Marshall and his wife, Loraine of Lafayette, La, Ludrick and his wife, Brenda of Carencro, La, Leon and his wife, Lou of Lafayette, La., Rodrick and his wife Wanda of Eunice, La. and Gerard and his wife Lisa of Alexandria, La. He is also survived by one daughter, Sister Marlene Labbe M.S.C. of Grand Coteau, La., 13 grandchildren, one step grandchild, and 14 great grandchildren.

Mr. Labbe was a retired farmer and cotton ginner and a member of St. Landry Parish Farm Bureau, Church Usher, Legion of Mary, and active member of St. John Chapel, Lewisberg, La.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Boudreaux Labbe, and his parents, Leon Athile Franchebois Labbe, Three brothers, Austin, Carlton, and Joseph Labbe, three sisters, Mary Emily Mel Guilbeau, Hilda Savoie, and Marie Soileau, one grandchild, Louis Labbe, and a daughter in law Helen Fontenot Labbe also preceded him in death.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Dr. Todd, Dr. Thad, Brian, Craig, Willie, Jody, and Damian Labbe, and grandsons-in-law, Sy Arceneaux and Mike Hawkins. Gift bearers will be the granddaughters and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:30 PM Tuesday, January 23, 2007 until 9 PM. The funeral home will reopen Wednesday at 8 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM Tuesday evening.
