Curley Guidry

Funeral services for Curley J. Guidry will be held on Sunday October 14, 2012 at 1:30pm at the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas, LA. The interment will take place at the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Deacon Bill Pollingue will conduct the services.

Mr. Guidry, age 72, a resident of Duson and former resident of Sunset died on Friday evening at his residence. He served in the United States Air Force and was retired from the oilfield. He enjoyed fishing, fast cars, his children and his grandchildren. He was the most amazing father and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his sons Joseph Guidry, Jr. and wife Florette of Sunset, Michael Guidry of Cecilia and Troy Guidry and wife Christi of Lafayette, daughter Susan Richard and husband Billy of Youngsville, brother George Guidry of Carencro, sister Jane Nance of Sunset, and his grandchildren Joshua Guidry, Derek Guidry, Jake Guidry, Brock Guidry, Jeremy Domingue, Leia Guidry, Luke Guidry, Billie Sarah Richard, Jacob Guidry and Kristen Guidry.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dulice and Shirley Smith Guidry and his sisters Lydia Stelly and Leatrice Prudhomme.

The family has requested visitation will be on Sunday October 14, 2012 from 9:00am until time of Service at 1:30pm.
