Creighton Franchebois

OpelousasFuneral services for Creighton F. Franchebois, age 91, will be held on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. The Reverend Mark Ledoux will officiate the services. Interment will follow at the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum in Opelousas, La.

Mr. Franchebois, formerly of Hessmer, La. and a resident of Opelousas, died on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. Franchebois was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WWII.

He is survived by one sister, Anna Belle F. Wyble of Opelousas, La. and also several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Franchebois was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his parents, Lorena and Atalla Franchebois and five siblings.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will re-open on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
