Craig Guillory

Opelousas Funeral services will be held for Craig S. Guillory at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. The Very Reverend Monsignor Keith DeRouen will conduct the funeral service. Burial will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Guillory, age 60, a resident of Lafayette, LA, died on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at his residence.

Craig received a Masters Degree in History and minored in Psychology from USL. He worked at Opelousas Developmental Center from 1980 until retiring in 2005. He loved working in his yard, gardening and his cat, Mattie. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Elsie Beaumery Guillory, of Opelousas, LA and his brother, Ray E. Guillory, Jr., of Opelousas, LA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray E. Guillory, Sr. his grandparents, Alex and Idea Arceneaux Beaumery and Lastie Guillory and Evelia Duos Fontenot.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, November 21, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday until service time at 11:00 a.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
