Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Corine Vizinat Manuel, age 95, will be held on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church of Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery in Ville Platte. The Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen will be the celebrant of the mass.

Mrs. Vizinat, age 95 was a resident of Opelousas for 15 years and a homemaker. She died Sunday December 26, 2010 at Senior Village Nursing Home. She prayed the rosary daily and mass was special to her. She loved to cook for her family and was a special mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her husband Lastie Vizinat, her parents Edovic and Atilica Bertrand, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her daughters Nellie Vizinat Guillory and husband Douglay of Opelousas and Barbara Vizinat Cooper and husband David of Boonesmill, Virginia, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held On Sunday December 26, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday at 9:00 a.m. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
