Constance Quirk

Opelousas Funeral services will be held for Constance Connie Ann Ortego Quirk at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2013, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Deacon Jerome Collins will conduct the service.
Connie, age 55, a lifelong resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at her residence.

Connies interests included reading, watching for butterflies and spending time with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Her memory will live on forever in her family, her friends and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her father and stepmother, Harold and Lela Ortego, of Opelousas, LA her sons, Jonathan Paul Ortego and wife, Dawn, of Arnaudville, LA Blair Quirk of Opelousas, LA her daughter, Tina Quirk and fianc, Jeremy Gallagher, of Port Barre, LA her brothers, Ricky Ortego and wife, Renee, of Eunice, LA Craig Ortego and wife, Lisa, of Opelousas, LA her sister, Tammy Soileau, of Opelousas, LA her stepbrothers, Neil Saucier of Opelousas, LA Chris Saucier of Lafayette, LA and her stepsister, Donna Mayer, of Carencro, LA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Brendan Ortego, Jonathan Seth Ortego, Alyssa Lynn Leblanc, Jayden Leblanc, Benjamin Seth Leblanc and 2 stepgrandchildren, Noel Castille and Samantha Castille.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Melancon Ortego and her son, Seth Quirk.

In lieu of flowers and mass services, donations can be made to the family.

Visiting hours will begin on Thursday, October 10, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013.
