Connie Marie Wilde Thibodeaux was born on November 10, 1953, in Flint, Michigan. She passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at her residence in Opelousas, Louisiana. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister embodying a spirit of kindness and warmth that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. Reverend Benny Reppond will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 30, 2025, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Throughout her life, Connie nurtured her family with unwavering devotion. She shared nearly 47 years of marriage with her husband, Tommy Thibodeaux, creating a lifetime of memories filled with laughter and love. Her legacy lives on through her sons, Paul Thibodeaux (Marsha), Jason Thibodeaux, and Ryan Thibodeaux, along with her daughter, Summer Lavigne (Terry) and daughter-in-law, Angie Thibodeaux. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Mark Wilde (Marie), and her sisters, Kay Rameno and Beth Richardson (Ron). Connie was also blessed with the joy of seven grandchildren, who were a source of great pride and happiness in her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leland Howard Wilde and Shirley Rae Nortrop Wilde, as well as her brothers, John Wilde and Bill Wilde.
Connie embraced a variety of interests that reflected her generous spirit. She found immense joy in quilting, camping with her family and spending time with her dog, Buddy.
Connie was especially fond of Christmas, a season that filled her heart with joy and became a cherished time for her family to gather and celebrate.
Her community service reflected Connie’s nurturing nature, as she dedicated her time to the Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts as a leader, fostering growth and resilience in the young lives she touched. Her commitment to serving others extended to her years at the Salvation Army, where she played an integral role in supporting those in need.
Connie Marie Wilde Thibodeaux leaves behind a legacy of compassion and family. Her memory will be honored and cherished, a testament to a life beautifully lived.
