Krotz Springs - Funeral services will be held for Clyde J. Mires at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015, in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. Brother Chad Bolfa will conduct the funeral service. Interment will be held at the church cemetery.

Mr. Mires, age 76, a resident of Krotz Springs, LA died on Monday, August 24, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center surrounded by his loving and caring family.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cynthia Kemp Mires of Krotz Springs, LA; his sons, Kenny Mires of Clinton, LA, Barry Mires of Krotz Springs, LA, Van Mires of Krotz Springs, LA, Dale Scotten of Bossier City, LA; his daughter, Debra Mires of Arnaudville, LA; his brothers, Richard Mires of Huntsville, TX, Bubba Mires of Krotz Springs, LA, Larry Mires of Krotz Springs, LA; his sisters, Ginger Johnson of Krotz Springs, LA, Yvonne Mires of Krotz Springs, LA, Bonnie Lynn Ford of Bridge City, TX, Betty Sue Mires of Krotz Springs, LA, Diana Pullen of Krotz Springs, LA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert John Mires and Gladys Talley Mires; his brothers, Carl Wayne Mires and Charles Mires; his sisters, Joyce "Tee" Mires and Jeanette Mires; his grandchild, Brooke Ann Mires.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, from 12:00 noon (open all night) until time of service on Thursday.
