Cleveland Chautin, Jr.

CLEVELAND JOSEPH CHAUTIN, JR., of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, LA.

Beloved husband of Charleen Chautin for the past 52 years.

Father of Chet Chautin and wife Erin, Karen Goodnow and husband Spaff, Melanie Maddox and husband Shane and Todd Chautin and wife Cheryl.

Son of the late Cleveland, Sr. and Isabelle Stelly Chautin.

Brother of Leroy Chautin, Lee Charles Chautin, Joe Huguet and the late Floyd Bobby Chautin.

Also survived by 6 grandchildren Zachary Goodnow, Austin Chautin, Christopher Goodnow, William Chautin, Brooke Chautin and Shelbi Maddox.

Age 72 years a native of LeBeau, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA for the past 46 years. Mr. Chautin was a Project Manager for both T.L. JamesJames Construction Group for the past 54 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at the First United Methodist Church, 433 Erlanger Ave., Slidell, LA on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00am until 11:00am.

Mr. Chautin will be forwarded to LaFond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas for a visitation on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 11:00am until 1:00pm with funeral services at 1:00pm. Interment will follow on Friday in Palmetto Methodist Cemetery, Palmetto, Louisiana. Donations to: The American Heart Assoc. at www.heart.org is preferred, in lieu of flowers.
