Funeral services for Dr. Claude Lee Stephenson will be at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas at 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, the interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington. The Rev. Henry Broussard will conduct the services.

Dr. Stephenson, age 64, was a resident of Beggs, died on Monday, November 19, 2007 at his residence.

He was a Veterinary doctor in Folson, La for over 30 years and the last number of years he practiced in St. Landry Parish.

He was a member of the following: AVMA- American Veterinary Medical Association, LVMA-Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, AAEP- American Association Equine Practitioners,LTBA- Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association, USPA- United States Polo Association, NALSA- National Association Louisiana Catahoulas and ACA-American Catahoula Association. He was also an avid hog hunter

Dr. Stephenson is survived by his wife; Pamela A. Stephenson of Beggs, his daughter; Ashley Stephenson and 2 step-daughters; M. Nicole Sylvester of Tamps FL and Pamela A. Ferrara of Washington, a sister; Shirley Stephenson Warner and her husband Frank Warner of Ardmore, OK

He was preceded in death by his parents; John Thomas and Celeste Quirk Stephenson, his grandparents; Claude Lee and Margaret Stephenson and Lionel and Gladys Quirk.

The family has requested that visitation will be observed on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 from 6:00PM to 10:00PM and will continue on Wednesday from 7:00AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:30PM on Tuesday.
