Claude Joubert

Funeral services for Claude P. Joubert will be held Friday August 10, 2007 at 10:00am. in the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. Interment will be in the St. Bridget Mausoleum. Rev. Daniel Picard will conduct the services. Pallbearers will be Ryan Fontenot, Rhyn Duplechain, Garett Duplechain, Philip Fontenot, David Fontenot and Dr. Billy C. Fontenot.

Mr. Joubert, age 75, a resident of Lawtell died Tuesday August 7, 2007 at 11:45pm. at Opelousas General Health Systems.

Mr. Joubert was a Justice of the Peace for 24 years, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5532, member of the Lawtell Volunteer Fire Department, retired school teacher at Lawtell Elementary and was a lifetime member of the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years; Patricia P. Joubert of Lawtell, son: Richard Joubert of Lawtell, sisters; Lucille Fontenot and her husband Ryan of Lawtell and Glenda Duplechain and her husband Rhyn of Opelousas, 2 grandchildren; Kylie and Katie Joubert of Lawtell.

Mr. Joubert was preceded in death by his parents; Eli Joubert and Annie Pitre, sister; Belva Lee Richard and his brother in law; Ray Richard.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00pm. until 10:00pm. and Friday from 8:00am. until time of services. A rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:00pm.
