Funeral services for Mrs. Clara E. Wallace will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 10:30AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the interment in the Church cemetery. The Rev. Mark LeDoux will conduct the services.

Mrs. Wallace, age 66, died on January 5, 2008 at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. She was born May 25, 1941 in Krotz Springs La. She graduated from high school. Clara moved to Talkeetna in 1971 and worked in several restaurants in Talkeetna and assisted in the medical practices of Doctor Greer and DoctorYates. In 2002 she moved to Anchorage. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, FCE Homemakers Knitting Group and Catholic Daughters. She was publicly acknowledged as the best chef in town. She was also a quilter and knitter.

She was dearly loved by her family and revered by friends all across Alaska. Her family wrote She hosted legendary Cajun parties from Juneau to Talkeetna. Her Monday night stitching group was the highlight of her week and will be missed by her many dearest friends. She had an enviable joie de vivre. Her family added that she was much loved. She will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, John E. Wallace of Palmer, Alaska, daughters; Jenny and her husband Kent of Juneau, Alaska, Belinda Wallace of Anchorage, Alaska and Marsha Wallace of Cooksville TN. Sisters; Maxine Ledoux of Walker La and Margaret and her husband John Toledo of Hollywood Fl. and a brother Jock and his wife Brenda Eusay of Pittsburg TX. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Anna and Jacob Logsdon of San Fransisco and Mitchell and Alex Carey from Anchorage, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Percy and Shirley Perkins Eusay.

Visitation will be on Friday from 2PM to 10PM and will re-open on Saturday 8AM until the time of service. A rosary will be recited on Friday at 7PM.
