A Mass of Christian Burial for Clara Marie Quiban, age 72, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, in the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell, La., followed by interment in the church cemetery. The Reverend Austin Leger will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.
Mrs. Clara Marie Quiban, a resident of Baton Rouge, La., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 5, 2012, at Ochsners Hospital in Baton Rouge, La.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, soon to be greatgreatgrandmother and was a friend to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Loraine Marie Perron McDowell of Baton Rouge, La. one brother, Joseph Milton Comeaux of Eunice, La. one sister, Betty Stuart of Texas three grandchildren, Fay Allen and husband, Danny, of Prairieville, La. Clara McDowell husband, David, of Walker, La. and Jim McDowell of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by three greatgrandchildren, Stephanie Clark of Alexandria, La. Thomas Clark and Kaitlyn Allen both of Prairieville, La.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Antonio Quiban her parents, Elizabeth Richard Alcee Comeaux her loving children, Paula Anne and Joseph Keith Perron her three sisters, Nora Lebouf, Ester Faul, Mary Guillory and one brother, Lewis Comeaux.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Clark, Chris Guillory, Shane Dupre, David Dawson, Jim McDowell, Blaine Faul, Andrienne Fontenot and Danny Allen.
Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Leo P. Blaize, III and staff, the nurses of Unique Home Healthcare and Ochsners Hospital and staff for their loving care and compassion.
