Funeral services for Ursula Cindy Gibson Quirk will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 11:00AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, with the Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Albert Nunez will conduct the services.
Mrs. Quirk, age 76, a resident of Opelousas, formerly of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 9:50 a.m.
She was a member of the Altar Society at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington. Cindy was a housewife.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Webb Quirk, Jr. of Opelousas; Charles Leo Quirk and his wife, Jeannie, of Lake Charles; David Michael Quirk of Opelousas; Paul Wayne Quirk and his wife, Carla, of Washington; Darryl Eugene Quirk and his wife, Melissa, of Laurel, Maryland; her daughters, Marie Mimi Quirk Wolfe and her husband, Robert, of Opelousas and Karen Kay Quirk Sowyers of Port Barre. She is also survived by her brother, James Sambo Donald Gibson and his wife, Margaret, of Opelousas and her sister, Judith Gibson Duckworth of Opelousas. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Webb Sr.; her grandsons, Benjamin Seth Quirk, Jared Wayne Buller; her brother, Charles Gibson, Jr. and her sister, Ethlyn Gibson Reeves.
Visitation will be observed on Thursday, December 11, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday, December 12, 2008, at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, 337 942-2638, is in charge of the arrangements.
