Chong Dixey

Opelousas-Funeral services for Chong Kim Dixey will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. and also on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Yun Shim will conduct the services.

Mrs. Dixey, age 62, a native of South Korea and resident of Opelousas, died on July 15, 2009 at her residence.

Mrs. Dixey was the owner and operator of Kims Tailor Shop in Opelousas, La.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Earl Dixey, Jr.; one brother and three sisters who all reside in South Korea.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Earl J. Dixey, III.

There will be three visitations beginning on Saturday, July 18, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, July 19, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, July 20, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
