Charles Hooks, Jr.

Funeral services for Charles Hooks, Jr. will be held on Thursday December 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs. The interment will be in the church cemetery. Bro. Chad Bolfa will conduct the services.

Mr. Hooks, age 88 a resident of Krotz Springs died Tuesday December 28, 2010 at Opelousas General Health System. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WWII.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Elvenia Ardoin Hooks of Krotz Springs his son, Neil Hooks and his wife, Sally, of Krotz Springs his sister, Ruth Cabral, of Krotz Springs 2 grandchildren, Jana Schexnayder and Kelly Hooks and 4 greatgrandchildren, Aaron and Ryan Schexnayder, Hannah and Haleigh Hooks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hooks, Sr. and Ida Reed Hooks his daughter, Myrna Agnes Nall brothers, John Hooks, Willie Hooks and Ira Hooks his sisters, Mamie Hooks, Lessie Courville and Iola Doiron and 1 grandson, Chris Cranmer.

Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs on Thursday December 30, 2010 from 12 Noon until time of services at 2:00 p.m.
