Charles Guilbeau

Opelousas Services for Charles Guilbeau, age 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA, followed by interment in the St. Landry Catholic Church Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Reverend Monsignor Louis Melancon will conduct the service.

Mr. Guilbeau, a resident of Opelousas, died on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, La.

Charles was an usher for 30 years at St. Landry Catholic Church. He was a kind and loving person and will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his nieces, Jane Walker Durio, Gloria Guilbeau Burrow, Betty Guilbeau Beard and Carol Guilbeau Segura. He is also survived by several great and greatgreat nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. and Louise Andrus Guilbeau his brothers, Rodney Guilbeau and Edward J. Guilbeau his sister, Marie Louise Guilbeau Walker and his nephew, Lyle A. Walker, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Edward Burrow, Rick Viars and Mike Burrow.

Honorary pallbearer will be J.A. Allen.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
