Charles Breaux

Krotz Springs A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. for Charles Joseph Breaux, age 87, in the St. Anthony Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Reverend Mark Ledoux will be the celebrant.

Mr. Breaux, who was a native and resident of Krotz Springs, died at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 13, 2010.

He was a commercial fisherman and the owner and operator of a fish market in Krotz Springs for over 30 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and served in the European theatre during World War II. Mr. Breaux was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church, the VFW and Woodmen of the World.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Tregle Breaux of Krotz Springs daughters, Belle Bickham and husband Wayne of Baton Rouge and Carolyn Watkins of Denham Springs a brother, Floyd Harrington of Breaux Bridge a sister, Charlene Leblanc of Port Barre 13 grandchildren, Tony, Barry, and Lonny Territo, Charlotte, Merrick, Jeanne, and Bert Gautreaux, Jolene Sellars, David Watkins, Jr., James Roy Watkins, Clyde and Bonnie Breaux and Carl Deville.

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Edna Higdon Breaux a son, Carl D. Breaux and wife Cathy Bihm Breaux a daughter, Diana Gautreaux and husband Merrick Bozo Gautreaux three brothers, Jimmy Robinson, Freddie and Sidney Breaux a grandson, Charles Amos Gautreaux and two great grandchildren, Savannah Sellars and Brandon Lee Ellis.

Pallbearers will be Tony, Barry, and Lonny Territo, Clyde Breaux, David Watkins, Jr., James R. Watkins, Merrick Gautreaux, Jr. and Bert Gautreaux.

Visitation will be held in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs beginning on Monday, March 15, 2010 from 4:00 9:00 p.m., with a rosary scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
